More UNITED than we realize!

I absolutely love Naomi Wolf, even if I think she's a little bit over the top at times. She makes some very good points about our society and our government, and I recommend her book "The End of America" as well.

Hello Bill

As with a lot of these videos I think we need to be discerning. Given that, I did however witness enough of the things of which she speaks to have it wake me up some more - which is a good thing right now : )

Wolf makes some great observations but she seems to think this all started under the Bush administration. This is not true. The push toward a decline in democracy has been happening most of my adult life and I can remember things during the Carter administration that caused me to sit up and take notice, and I have seen our freedoms eroded under every administration since. The “Omnibus Counter Terrorism Act” proposed by Bill Clinton is a carbon copy of the patriot act, although it was never passed by congress. The attacks at Waco and Ruby Ridge are perfect examples of government stomping on the rights of all citizens, not to mention the murdering of innocent people. Granted, everything she said about the Bush Administration is true, and I would certainly not defend any of it. However, I would be surprised if the Obama administration will do anything differently. He may close down Gitmo, but something else will open in its place and a new, more popular, enemy will be imprisoned and tortured. You have to remember, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, and the like were all liberals who promised change. It sounds to me as if the blueprint she was talking about is only going to get used more and more.

Well said, Chris. As a student of public communication, public relations, advertising and general communication with the collective consciouness, I am fascinated by stories that are constructed in such a way as to bear the mark of manufacture by the forces of social engineering. Waco and Ruby Ridge had the ring of a test tube of sorts. If you follow this steady and systematic decline in individual rights and the exponential rise in the audacity of the government and the willingness to "claim" rights and authorities which have never been granted to them, you really begin to feel the gentle, yet steady march towards something dark. The concept of incrementalism, where tiny changes are made, seemingly waiting for the public outcry to abate, or for good old public apathy to set in on each new incremental reduction in our dignity and privacy, is a tried and true tool for social engineering. Not much different then the techniques known thru the ages to help the farmer and/or butcher introduce the animals into the abbatoir. First the pens are quite spacious, but they narrow and narrow until the cows find themselves marching single file into the "hammer room". Hard not to notice at least a loose similarity between this metaphor and the increasingly regimented and "monitored" conditions we are finding ourselves in. I have just recently moved out of Los Angeles, were there are cameras on literally every streetpost along major roads. And the cable companies are quite glib about announcing that there are records kept of all our online activity, tv viewing habits, and apparently, how many pets we are keeping in the home.

I think it's time we all dust off our copies of Orwell's 1984, and take a quick spin through it as a refresher course in why we should not go gently into that dark nite.

I actually did just that - I took out 1984 shortly after Bush took office, and read it again for the first time in many years. And, not surprisingly, it scared the living crap out of me! It is just sad that things seem to be headed in such a globally dark place. My wife and I have discussed many times about moving somewhere that isn't affected - but we've come to the conclusion that there is no such place anymore. The globalists have their reach all over the world (globalists in the true sense of the word) and every civilized country is already completely infected with the corruption that comes from the petro-based society we are a part of.

It is not Satan, at least in the traditional sense of the word, that is driving all of this. It is just plain ole GREED. I certainly do believe in some conspiracy theory, especially around the bloodlines of kings and the idea that families have held onto power and riches for over 4 - 5,000 years. Ever since religion has convinced people to be subservient, we have had to deal with the idea of divine right of kings and the idea that certain races are more equal than others. Until mankind is able to control the "demons" of greed and lust for power within themselves, we will never see the end of this corruption. It will take a change of proportions never seen before to bring the global consciousness to that point. I don't know if it's even possible, honestly. Greed is part of everyone's DNA, it's part of our survival mechanism. To be able to see it for what it is and put it under conscious control is the idea, but most people don't seem willing to do that. In fact, being greedy is celebrated, rewarded, and revered in this planet right now. It's going to destroy us if we can't put it under conscious control.

It's funny how the teachings of Magick really revolve around putting these "demons" under our own control, yet again, most people don't want to hear about how screwed up they are and how greedy they are, let alone how they should deal with it in a constructive way through inner work and self-discipline.
