The Great Network

More UNITED than we realize!

Below is a brief introduction to a four-fold model of intimacy and relating that I presented at a c3 event called “Return to the Source - The Art of Conscious Loving“. Been working on this particular model for the last few months since a lovely young lady asked me last December what my stance was on relationships (my proclaiming to be a monk has been confusing at times). As I believe we are in a time where we redefine how we relate with each other, where traditional group labels and relationship patterns are dissolving, I think it is crucial to have some foundational agreements around language we use to communicate about our relating. This model is a beginning on this journey.

Vanese's note: At the very end Philip discusses a model for relationship for those of us who live in a Magick world. I has a lot of merit.

Honey when I was a yoga teacher I had to TEACH people HOW TO LOWER their SHOULDERS, by actually touching down on their shoulders - it is AMAZING what we have forgotten.

as for Tshirts- Philips makes amazing ones

Does his shirt say "Fuck Hate"? Thats great.

On another note, not to sound arrogant, but I'm a little surprised that we need seminars to teach this stuff. Isn't it pretty obvious that you need to talk to your partner about your emotions and what you want? Also, I know people sometimes have sex just to have sex but I thought most people got that it is intended for bringing people together....spiritual connection and all that stuff.

I do love the way he presents it on the pentagram (though I still say Earth and Fire need to switch positions, but that another thread). Nice to see magick applied to more mundane lessons like this. The elemental pentagram is an excellent tool for categorizing anything mental, physical, or spiritual. Just about everything falls in one of the four and anything else can be placed in the fifth. Kudos to him for finding how our relationships apply to this.
