The Great Network

More UNITED than we realize!

I am drawn on a line. I am in the middle. Sometimes, that is when i practice, I am way out in the west, and sometimes I am way out to the east of this line. On the one side there is one stule of meditation, and on the other, another. I like both, and I want to practice them both, and I seem to create this problem, where I keep telling myself that I am only messing it all up by practicing two styles, and that I should choose one of them. They are in themselves quite different, in one of them (sazen), just breathing and focusing on the breathing, controlled breathing. The other (vipassana) where you let go of controlling the breath, and move your awareness around bodily sensations.

I just heard krishnamurti talk about not practicing at all is meditation, just be aware. But i seem to bring on myself a need for practice and discipline. Now I am even more confused!
