Homo sapiens Interbreeding with Other Hominids?

In the above cited article, it basically states that Homo sapiens interbred with Homo erectus, Homo habilis, and others. I personally do not believe this theory. I find it outdated and lacking the consideration of newly found evidence within the past 20 years that has come to light about Ancient Civilizations on this planet, and how that incorporates with the Ancient Alien theories as well.

I don't believe that Homo sapiens interbred with other hominids. Not only because this theory clearly doesn't take into account physical evidence that points to our interactions with other ETs, but also because interbreeding cannot really take place across species and produce fertile offspring. Yes, Homo sapiens and the other hominids are part of the same genus class, but come from completely separate species.

As with the interbreeding of lions and tigers, from the same genus but not the same species. Their offspring is always sterile. This makes it difficult for me to believe that the interbreeding of Homo sapiens with other hominids would produce offspring that could reproduce carrying that new genetic information. I cannot see how this "sex with other hominids" theory would explain the 1-4% DNA matches with Homo sapiens and Neanderthals. Genetic tampering by ETs is more likely the case.
