The Great Network

More UNITED than we realize!

Vanese has asked that I inform all members of the reasons for her sudden absence on the Network. Yesterday, she and Chance were in a terrible accident in Australia, involving a high speed head-on collision. Sadly, Vanese has fractured the C2 vertebrae in her neck, is currently in a halo, and will receive emergency surgery tomorrow (with an estimated 12 week recovery period). Fortunately, Chance escaped unharmed and is with her now. V. has asked that I notify everyone on the list who may have recently tried to contact her. This is all I know at present, but expect more information will be forthcoming from Chance very soon. Sending much love and healing energy to our dear friends Vanese and Chance, Art Rosengarten

Spoke with her this evening. For the moment she is not in pain, the medication seems to have kicked in a bit. She is surrounded by friends and family. Surgery is pending. She does have internet abilities....however of course, the main focus now is getting her safely through the surgeries and well.

Vanese and Chance, I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. Words just don't seem to work in situations like this. At least you are both still alive and conscious. I wish you all the best care and love, and we are all thinking about you both.

Jenn,
I've heard from Vanese and know she has really felt the support and love from network friends like yourself. I think they're going to be ok, but its not yet clear to me (or her) what V's recovery process will entail. She looks quite good from the pictures she's taken from the medical center. Please keep your healing vibes in her direction. Art

All things can be looked at as problems or gifts. That is up to us to find the wisdom to sort that out. I do hope this will become a great thing in her life and she becomes stronger for it. Very sorry to here about the trauma. Will be working on it and hope for a speedy recovery. Lots of love
