The Great Network

More UNITED than we realize!

I'm not sure where the best place to post this is so I'll put it here...

"Money". I enjoyed The Great Work series, but I must say I disagree (or don't get what its got to do) with money being a part of this whole mastering the physical plane, or "getting your house in order". I really don't see what gathering pieces of paper, or numbers on a screen, has got to do with this. As far as I'm concerned it has no relation whatsoever. Money is only what we collectively agree it is, it merely represents thought, which is infinite, through physical objects, which are limited in availability (by design). Or as far as numbers on a screen are concerned, which takes this nonsense to the next level, there seems to be some imaginary limit to their availability that results in poverty and people dying of starvation, people having to spend their lives doing silly nonsense to gather what they only need because they think they need it - because they choose to need it. This is completely ridicilous. To end poverty is therefore as simple as "£10,000,000,000", literally, because that's all they do at the bank is sprout numbers from thin air, but for some "unknown" reason there isn't enough of these imaginary numbers to go around.

If we trade physical objects that represent thought, then why do we need to depend upon some external entity (the banks) as to how much thought we can trade between eachother? Why do we need something that's limited in availability to represent what is infinite in nature? Wouldn't this simply end in disaster, isn't it ending in, or existing as disaster as we speak? My conclusion is that its not money that needs to be mastered, because its not that we haven't yet mastered it that's the problem. The problem is what "money" is to begin with, no amount of mastery is going to fix this problem. Its not a problem that needs to be solved, its a problem that is a problem because we choose to hold on to it, nothing more. So personally I really don't think its something that should be mastered or "fixed" in any way, because it is fundamentally broken, it contains within it the seeds of its own destruction. It is designed to eventually collapse on itself.

As a simple example: Imagine a pot of gold that represents the wealth of the entire planet. Now you borrow all the gold that's in the pot. But you must return that gold - with interest. How do you pay the interest? All the gold is in the pot, there can't possibly be any interest to pay back. So what are you to give in return, instead of gold as interest, because there is no more? Your house, your car, your land. Everything you think you own. Its all designed as a one way street - you are the one to lose out. Its no different than playing a rigged slot machine, its designed to benefit the house. Sooner or later there is going to be nothing left to give, because what you're paying the bank also comes from the bank. To pay back interest they must supply you with more money, on which you have to pay more interest, with yet more money from them. The source and the destination are one. Its a bubble that will inevitably pop, because its designed to be that way.

Not that the money we use is based on anything physical in the first place. Its limited availability is completely made up. So, why do we need it, why should we want to master something that's fundamentally unmasterable?
