Moment of Awakening?

Trying to pinpoint a specific moment...
All my life I have had something there just beneath the surface. Then things in day to day, mundane happenings can have a bigger impact than you realise.
Someone gave me a book, a question I ask an 'elder' (that couldn't be answered!!) sitting with a friend, chatting, watching a tv programme...
So many ways things can come if you are listening.
Then 6 months ago my sister died. My inner world was taken in another direction again, a deeper meaning of who I am.
I think everywhere you look, there is a hint of the bigger picture!
We just need to be open. Everyone's journey is different. What one person understands maybe hard for another, but that person will find another way to get to the same conclusion. This is the wonder!! no ONE pathway!

ahh good point!...sometimes it is not 'one moment' but a whole series of 'moments'....that coalesce to move us deeper into ourselves...makes you realize too just how much 'awakening' occurs without us necessarily trying 'really hard' to awaken...as you said..there is a hint of the bigger picture everywhere you look.....its like that old saying that if we can't find 'enlightenment' in our 'own back yard'..then we wont find it running off some where else .....thanks Vick!!

Yes, a whole series of moments.

Some are more memorable. I had one particular experience in the early eighties which proved that there was more going on than I had dared imagine.

I was doing a cabalistic based meditation when I felt an energy move in my feet, bounce up to my heart and then explode in my head/ probably third eye as a ball of white light.

Extraordinary. I have never had anything remotely like it before or since. It demonstrated that I was dealing with energies that were real.

I have spent most of my life since then decoding what happened, as though it were a download of an immense amount of energy, or an activation of a latent potential that was already there.

'it' came gradually, first in little things, picking up on words, books or visuals, that I normally wouldn't :)
Then came the 'big bang' 08-08-08, my 48th B.day, and my experiences are getting greater, multidimensional and enlightened.
I never could think that something like that would happen to me,
sometimes I still have to get uses to 'the messages' I get and love to share them with others, however, some might be so 'absurd' in the eyes of others that I am afraid they wouldn't understand or handle it well, or get their feelings hurt, I don't know yet. and that's OK.
as with everything in my life right now: EVERYTHING happens excactly at the RIGHT moment, even writing this comment :)

oh my, I hope more people join and share their experiences of awakening here.
My experience was very jolting. It literally happened overnight, I was always aware of something more my whole life, but I spent most of my life like a walking zombie in the Matrix like 99% of us. I have the Pleiadians to thank for my major awakening, whether u believe in them or not, their information switched me ON.

I spent the next 3wks or so trembling & afraid to be by myself. I was learning new things about 800% faster than I ever was able to before, like my brain was overclocked. My consciousness just expanded, I don't know how else to say it, I just felt it happening. Like a god in amnesia finally waking up, a sleeper cell being activated after decades asleep mentally, that's the best way I could describe it in words.
I feel like I can do anything I want within the boundaries of my imagination, confidence is a given, effort is unnecessary, and thinking is the illusion... the heart is where our minds live.

I don't think I seemed sane to those around me at that time. I was babbling for hours at a time and couldn't stop talking about FRACTALS. It was like being in a DMT reality mixed together with the Matrix, a natural LSD type of experience that never goes away, it just gets less intense as time passes.
I do not recommend reading Pleiadian channelings or teachings if u have a heart condition. =)

November 23rd 1992 i was only 5 about to turn 6 being as my birthday is nov 24th, i came home to see a house full of family, believing it was a surprise bday bash i ran around the house searching for my sister yet she was no where to be found. i should mention my sister was one year older than me n was diagnosed with epilepsy n had actually past on that night. the day of my 6yr anniversary i spent it at a funeral home n then cometary only understanding that my sister was not coming back. i experienced death at an early aged and had blacked out most of my past mentally till around the age of 13. i am now 22 and for all these years i had drawn a symbol not knowing why i did it or where it came from, i was always helping others physically and more important mentally almost being a liaison for people because i not only knew how to talk to them but they said they had felt a calm or protection from me and i was lucky enough to get along with all walks of life from any side of the street. i am rambling now however i always looked up at the sky saying how small everyday problems are in a universe so vast. i always had the feeling there was something out there and believe tv should not be taken literal but read through the context as well as music and movies. ive seen shadows faces and figures throughout my life passing it off as coincidence or mind playing tricks on me until i met an individual who opened my eyes to words and text i had never seen before and assured me i had found the path but wandered due to disbelief and no flashlight. he told me there is no coincidence and that all that i have seen were not tricks played by my eyes. i have done much reading and have always felt my purpose will do great things one day that will impact the many, i am on that path now but sadly only have a small dim flashlight and can only see so far in front of me. he told me about this network and how people might be able to assist me here and i hope all of you can teach me something and walk side by side so that i may see brighter and enjoy the scenery of this path rather than just rushing from point A to B sorry so long but thank you for hearing me story.

great to hear your story. you may not realise it but your light is brighter than you know! things and people will come to you as you need them to show you and help you with your way
the fact that you connect to people no matter what their background says a great deal about you.
