More UNITED than we realize!

I'm curious what everyone is reading. at the moment, I am reading Sex and Rockets: The Occult World of Jack Parsons by John Carter.

So far it is an interesting read, but what I'm finding interesting is the deeper look at Parson's connections in the occult world and how they evolved in early 20th century.

Just cracking the spine on "The Cosmic Serpent, DNA and the origins of knowledge" If I get a half a second to actually sit down and read it I'll come back and post what it's about. :)
I think this is a great discussion !

I have been working my way through a book called "Take me to Truth" Undoing the Ego.

It has been an incredible read with a lot of self examination, it makes use of the enneagram as a tool of self exploration and correction. George gurdjieff had used the tool in his arsenal of esoteric and occult training in the days of "The Institute for the Harmonious Development of Man" and it has lived in many a heart and mind there after.

Although the book has nothing to do with Gurdjieff, I thought it would be great to mention his name, my love for his work is unbounded.

The book does on the other hand quote a lot of material from ACIM "a course in miracles" and Disappearance of the Universe. Also on my book self. (2 down three to go!)

I have balanced out the The Occult with Spiritualism over the years. I have found they both prove useful in self discovery.

I would love to have a group get together to do Magick with. Much like a meditation or spiritual retreat. Has any one here every been to a ritual gathering for the purpose of Magick?

I have read many a book on magick and the like but have had no experience as of yet.
It sounds GREAT Chris
Chance and I both are huge fans on Gurdjieff and the enneagram : )

Honey have you ever thought about joining the OTO? It might provide what you seek?

p.s. Watched the movie you sent me last night- REALLY synchronistic!!! It is exactly the issue we will be dealing with in Reality Crafting so if you can - you might be interested to listen in!
Just finishing The Secret History of the World by Black / Moore depending on where you are,
The Master Key by Charles Haanel, more of a pamphlet
New Dimensions for the Cube of Space: The Path of Initiation Revealed by the Tarot upon the Qabalistic Cube by Hulse - really cool too
OK explain please : )
LOL!!!!
OMG - you are correct.
Sorry
Understood
Im bouncing around between A Garden of Pomegranates by Regardie and Rosicrucian Manual by H. Spencer Lewis.
Just picked up the Upanishads and the Gita, in between a few technical journals. Sometimes I think the two sides of my brain compete with eye time.
Fraternal Greetings,

Well, it's almost a year later, but here's my response: Having finished the three GREAT books by Wor.: Bro.: Timothy Hogan, "Revelation of the Holy Grail", "Alchemical Keys to Masonic Ritual", and "The 32 Secret Paths of Solomon", I am now relaxing with the first volume of Michael Scott's six-book series "The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel". The book is called "The Alchemyst" and is in the genre that I call "alternate history", a subset of fantasy. Historical persons mix with mythical creatures and legends are presented alongside history. The only problem I have with the book so far is accepting Dr. John Dee as a villain. Dee is one of my favorite figures in English history. Saint Germain appears in the next volume, which I just received today. I am also "reading" several practice texts in Tibetan. Then too there is "Morals and Dogma" which I am absorbing in small bits. I am a 32nd Degree Mason in the Scottish Rite, so M&D is very meaningful to me. S&F.
Yes...Jack Parsons Story Is Fucking Awesome...I Encourage Anyone That Hasn't Read It To Pick It Up...It Deals With The Final Days Of Crowley As Well As The Birth Of L. Ron Hubbard's Scientology...Excellent...I Just Read "The Book Of Lies: The Disinformation Guide To Magick And The Occult" By Richard Metzger...It's A Collection Of Essays By And About Magick By Various People...Excellent...Now I'm Reading A Book Titled:  "Worldwide Evil and Misery - The Legacy of the 13 Satanic Bloodlines" By Fritz Springmeier...I'll Reserve Judgement Until I've Finished...But There Is A LOT Of Information About How Masonry Has Been Used Over The Years By The Controlling Powers...NOTHING Is Revealed To The Lower Degrees...Even The Symbols Are Given False Meanings To The Lower Grades...

All You People Are Reading The Great Books...Regardie's "Garden Of Pomegranates" Is A Textbook For Basic Magickal Footing...Gurdjieff, Ouspensky, The Hindu Classics, Morals And Dogma...Quite A Range...I LOVE IT!  I Hate Fluff...

I Have A Question...I Met A Man The Other Day That Told Me He's A 33rd Degree Mason...I Asked Him How Long He's Been A Mason And He Said 4 Years...I Resisted Every Urge In My Body To Tell Him He Is Full Of Shit...According To My Calculations He Would Have To Advance A Degree Every Month And A Half On That Schedule...My Question Is:  "Is There A Way To Become A 33rd Degree Mason In 4 Years?"  And If So What's The Address Of THAT Correspondence Course?

Jayson - Not all Masonic lodges are the same. Many lodges are just social clubs, like the Elks Lodge or the Moose Lodge, with very few, if any, esoteric secrets being shared at all. In one of those kinds of lodges one could easily become a 33rd Degree "Mason" in four years. There are only a few Masonic lodges that actually teach esoteric secrets. Most of them are just places for guys to go to get away from their families for the evening!
