Hello Lovelies.....
Wanted to find out what your current thoughts on 2012 are...
So far I have a kind of mixed up feeling about it....
I am pretty sure there is a very important alignment with the Galactic Center that will happen....which has the potential to affect us in many ways, both physically and Spiritually..
If that was not enough remote viewers are not painting the most rosie picture! You can listen to the audio on the homepage @ http://www.thegreatnetwork.com - down the bottom - under music!
I've always maintained that there are three ways of looking at the 2012 Mayan calendar hype: either it's armageddon or it's a shift in consciousness or it's absolutely meaningless. However, given what is happening in the Gulf of Mexico I'm leaning toward the first option. There seems to me to be a 'perfect storm' brewing: death spewing out of the Earth (and intensified by Corexit), climate change, an energetic solar cycle, the real possibility of total economic collapse, the emergence of the corporate (ie, fascist) state. These are massive forces at work any one of which has the potential to undermine human life on Earth.
Sure, people can speculate about the galactic alignments or the significance of the so-called Dark Rift, but here on Earth things are looking pretty grim. One can hope for a 'new age' of enlightenment, the transcendence of our mundane consciousness and believe that love will conquer all, but the forces arrayed against the conditions that allow for human life and prosperity are playing out in the present and they are pointing to a not so pretty endgame.
Personally, I wish 2012 means a transition to a higher state of consciousness, but as they say about wishing in one hand.....
We Americans are mesmerized by the idea that some divine/cosmic power will save us from ourselves (as in the recent Louisiana Senate passed resolution "to pray for a solution to this crisis.") That if we only just hold on a couple more years, the universe will grant our wish to be released from all that is evil and nasty and corrupt and it'll be like Paradise. And I say, good luck with that. Sure, think good thoughts, but change requires action, not sentiment. We humans inherited Paradise and we destroyed it. Our own hubris is biting us on the ass, and no one is going to save us from ourselves.
So, no, I'm not very optimistic about 2012, or whatever date the world as we know it comes to an end.
2012 disasters will be man made if anything I think.
All that should matter is all that truly exists... consciousness. Nothing is more powerful than the only thing that exists, every atom is filled with it, and the only time is the now. I have to stop before I start channeling for an hour about this and start annoying myself. =)
Reguardless of what happens, our end times views should be more pedalogical and mystical than anything. It should teach us to better socially in hard situations. The cosmological claims involved should really be something we can tie to somehting more than rumours of spiritual authority.
