More UNITED than we realize!
The Silent Revolution
How many people here have unplugged themselves from the Matrix? I mean really unplugged yourselves, no TV, no outside manipulations, no more blinders.
For me, I'd have to say I've always been slowly waking up thru the years, it wasn't until January 2008 that I was vigorously jolted wide awake and it was a profound experience. Ever since then I've done about 10,000+ hours (from 2008-2010) of hard core researching and studying of everything, relearning all that I thought I knew, and trying to make others still hypnotized to be aware of what has been going on for a very long time here. To my utter surprise, most people I know can't or won't even try to entertain the idea that the media and governments aren't looking out for our best interests, and couldn't possibly ever lie to us.
Those who speak out publicly against the system are ridiculed and shunned, when all they are doing is trying to better humanity and discuss other alternatives to what the TV tells us to do. How many of you guys have gone thru similar firewalls trying to discuss anything "out of the box" with friends and family? Any tips or tricks out there on better ways of getting thru to the hypnotized sheeple before they damage themselves any more then they already have spiritually and physically?
***Sept. 2010 update- Not much has really changed since I posted this, in some instances people I know have have gotten worse as time goes by. Stay positive my friends, because the majority of us don't want to be someone's slaves or pawns and this system will eventually dissolve and a new paradigm will emerge naturally. =)

I went through a similar awakening/enlightenment experience in 2000. I can't say I've unplugged, because there's really not many places left to unplug to - and if I really want to make any positive changes in the people I love, I'm going to have to stay in a place that they can still relate to me in. I can't shut myself off from the world and simultaneously hope to make a difference. Plus I've watched Mosquito Coast one too many times, too... lol!
From what I read in your message you are really hoping to find ways to get through to the ones you love. I can say from experience that your actions and state of mind and life are better at getting through to them than dire warnings and info that they are not intellectually or spiritually ready to handle. I have really had to learn that one the hard way, and I'm still learning. My being paranoid about 9-11, the government in general, the state of the world, etc. wasn't a real turn-on for anyone who is around me (except for the ones who wanted to wallow in the paranoia with me). Even people who are waking up that I am friends with would tell me I was always saying that "the sky is falling". Maybe it is - but people get really tired of being reminded of it all the time, true or not.
There is an old saying that says you can't force a flower to open. That's exactly right when it comes to other people and enlightenment. Fortunately now more people than ever are discovering themselves and the truth about the state of the planet every day.

Though I agree that every flower has it's own time to bloom, my only issue with that is... I can't just sit idly by and watch so many potential flowers get severed in half by the upcoming lawnmowers before they get their chances to bloom. We may not be able to stop the mowers from coming, but we can remove and replant those flowers in a safer place so they do get their chances to bloom, then the mowers won't have much left to chop up and destroy. I agree with both ideals actually, yours and mine, and I've decided to only replant those flowers who "want" to bloom by choice, not by my forcing them to.
There are so many big changes coming for Earth that in a short time, no one will be able to ignore them no matter how much TV and video games they immerse themselves into. I don't know what definately will happen, I just know what the bad guys WANT to happen. The game is not fair though, the table is tilted and the cards are marked, and the people are willingly accepting it all because of hypnosis manipulation of light & sound via TV and unnecessary medicines. A passive society who willingly asks for enslavement is not what we all want but it's been happening, I do what I can with what I've got and that's all I can do. I just want to know other alternative ways to Miracle Grow the flowers around me before they wither or get chopped up.

What do you perceive these "mowers" to be and why can they not be stopped? It would seem to me that it would be better to stop the cutting than to simply replant as many flowers as can be before the blades rush by.

Well some examples of these "mowers" could be perceived as:
Chemtrail spraying in our skies...
Harmful vaccines & food preservative/poisons affects on us...
Electromagnetic pollution & illness induction via TV and/or radio frequencies...
Invasions of our personal thoughts thru frequency reception & manipulation...
The obvious planned destruction of the family & our economy...
The infamous Pharmacutical companies drugging the population & population control methods...
I'm not even going to get into the off-world agendas also going on here, there's plenty of sources for all this stuff online, with hard evidence to back it. If u can come up with ways to prevent or stop these "mowers" from cutting us apart, please let us know! Many are fighting for us now about the above mentioned things, but u never see that on the TV box. Independent videos are all over Youtube and Google showing their efforts from L.A. to NYC.

I would think the best approach would be to organize awareness to the point of outrage. It appears that most of this information is scattered and the evidence diluted. I have yet to see a site or video that puts it all in one place, in an easy to understand fashion, with unquestionable evidence to back it up. The evidence always seems to be questionable enough for the facts to be dismissed as another conspiracy theory or a half-truth.
Some of these things can easily be seen as unintended side effects of an originally pure-intentioned idea. Like food preservatives, vaccines, and electromagnetic pollution. The original idea being to preserve food, to prevent illness, and to ease communication. People are not going to easily accept that this has all been set up by some world controlling group to enslave you without solid unquestionable evidence. Without a world-wide outrage I don't see much being done to stop the mowers that you are concerned with.
The Great Work videos are sort of an example of how to do something of this nature. These videos are easily understood and presented in a format that is acceptable by the masses without being unnecessarily controversial. The facts are ordered and organized as well as unquestionable and easily referenced. However they have also met some resistance from the media by having their commercials refused by many major networks as "inappropriate content". You can certainly expect similar resistance if you choose to go that same route but it has not stopped them, nor should it stop you.

Very much like you Jay I research.
I have not unplugged because I feel that viewing the manufactured reality with a discerning eye can be useful in understanding the big picture as much as it can be used as a tool to help people wake up!!!
As an example...when people say to me "how can this be happening? " " how can we be heading into a depression" " "how can things be so bad?" I ask them to consider something....
All of this does not make sense if you are operating under the assumption that the Govt / Church / Education System / etc are working in out best interest, but consider for just a moment that they are not...see how the picture makes more sense?
I have much more to add but have to run to fedex!

I haven't got to watch this video yet but I have seen several of Ian's presentations in the past. I very much like the system that he proposes and his date codex is genius but he does get a bit wild with his predictions of how things will occur as we approach the 2012. If I'm not mistaken, by his account the world should be spinning in the opposite direction by now. But regardless the information about the system is solid and good to have and understanding of.

In the spirit of this thread I wonder if there are occult ways to slow down the unfolding of consciousness as he discusses....it always seemed to me like the 60's got "shut down", even though Lon disagrees : )

Short of slowing time itself I can't see how it would be slowed. As I understand it the system is based not on the movement of the earth around the sun but the" flow, rate, and intent of Creation itself". As Ian points out resistance to this sort of grand activity is futile and would probably cause a great deal of discomfort. Don't stand in front of the bus and try to slow it down. Slow or not, your going to get hit. Just wait at your stop and hop on for the ride.
What I wonder about is how much this has to do with the coming of the age of Aquarius and the procession of the Equinox. The new age is said to start in 2150 from what I understand. Could 2012 be the start of the cusp of Aquarius? We know that signs in the personal Zodiac have "cusps" where one sign will overlap the next for a period of time. Will this period between 2012 and 2150 be the cusp of Pisces passing into Aquarius? Maybe we just have our dates wrong and Aquarius starts in 2012?
I know that the Zodiac is based on the motion of mass and energy though space and the Mayan Calendar is quite proud of it's lack of association to this. At first glance one would think they are two completely different systems, but both the Mayan Calendar or "Tzolkin" and the Procession of the Equinox involve the evolution of Human consciousness. Not to mention the dates of the supposed Earth changing events are relatively close in the grand scheme of time.
