The Great Network

More UNITED than we realize!

OK, I AM TRYING to work, but I just cannot because I made myself one of my favorite snacks IN THE WHOLE WORLD, and as I am eating it, it occurred to me that this is one of my UNIQUE Genius's.....Baked Garlic, Brie and Sesame Chili Honey!!!!!

I invented it, and I make it better than anyone!

We all have them, and lets face it, for most of us they are not going to change the world - but they do change your life and those around you - so damn it - let's celebrate em!!!!!!

So here is my recipe - and I dedicate this new forum to all our little unique geniuses that make our life magical!

Grab a healthy looking garlic - or two: )
Chop the very top of the garlic so most of the cloves are popping through.
Get a big slab of butter and pop it right on top of where you cut it and wrap the whole thing in aluminum foil.

Pop the whole thing in a moderate oven for about 20 minutes.

While it is cooking take your brie out of the fridge so it gets all gooey - yum!

Then turn to the Sesame Honey

I just found the most f%^$^king amazing Honey in Australia called Iron Bark!!! IRON BARK - wow - but in the USA I used clover honey from Traders....

to it I added red pepper flakes
white pepper
a decent drop of sesame oil
a huge pinch of sesame seeds

and stirred it all up with a chopstick, because it is sticky.

The last piece is toasted yummy bread - what ever is your fave - baguette, we are doing the turkish bread here now...

When the garlics are soft and golden pull them out and peel off their foil.
I do it either individually - everyone gets their own brie, honey bread and garlic - or you can share......

HEAVEN!!!!!!!

Enjoy!!!

Sounds yummy...I can't wait to try it!!!! I never thought of the addition of spiced honey. Bravo.
Well since we are on the subject of appetizers/snacks, I'll share a favorite. This one was adopted from a favorite Taiwanese restaurant in town. I don't even know the name of it, but its fun and great for company.

The most work you need to do is the prep...each of the items you need to dice in small pieces. I usually cut up aprox. 1/2-1 cup is sufficient.

dice fresh ginger
dice a couple of limes (skin n-all)
toasted coconut ( u can use either sweetened or unsweetened)
dice jalapeno
dice red onion
peanuts ( I like raw, but can be hard to find...u can use roasted and salted)

Now you take the largest spinach leaves you can find. Make sure they are clean and dry.
Next you spread with Sweet chili sauce, which you can find at an Asian market, local grocery or Trader Joes.

Then you layer away. Put a little of each item in each leave....roll em up and pop into your mouth...an explosion of flavor!!!

Even my eight year old loves them...and what a way to get your kid to eat spinach!!!

Enjoy
OMG - that sounds AMAZING!!!!! I have company todays - how perfect is this universe!!!!
Thank you so much

It has all my favorite ingredients : )
